The reason for this outburst is grave indeed. Having finished her toast and jam, our protagonist is outraged that her father will not allow her to eat the wax paper that encases the bottom of a peanut butter cup.
Lest the viewer should view the previous message and doubt the gravity of the situation, see here further evidence of the mortal suffering that took place. See the genuine tears; note the naked peanut butter cup, bereft of its delicious brown wax paper. The human soul can bear only so much suffering. We nearly lost her this time.
Worry not, there was a happy ending. The smell of chocolate and peanut butter overcame her righteous indignation. Turns out her treat was still edible, without the paper. Don't things look brighter?

She reminds me of someone...who is it, who is it..? Oh, yes, it's little Ivy. She wants to eat books REALLY BAD. Also napkins. And wrapping paper. And magazines.
Righteous indignation is exactly the term for it!
